Hi folks, I’m an OR medical nurse thinking about crossing over to a surgical technologist role, and I’m trying to learn about the main comparisons between the CSFA and CST certification exams. I’ve reviewed some comparison charts from the credentialing bodies and read a few discussion forums, but I’m still not sure on how the content and difficulty really compare, and what kinds of employment prospects each certification might open up. For reference, which exam tends to be more demanding? Also, from a day-to-day standpoint, how do employers view CSFA vs CST credentials when it comes to professional development or salary potential? If anyone has real experience or insights, especially regarding how these certifications affected your career path, it would be greatly appreciated. I came across some comprehensive info here csfa but would appreciate your views too. Thanks everyone for the thorough explanations and personal experiences shared!
